Slowly making progress on Miss teen's birthday mitts. I'm past the thumb split and working up the arm. We are coming with my parents this weekend so I'm enjoying the beautiful weather and knitting outside. Until next time, laugh often, love deeply and knit the day away!

Cleaning leads to spinning?
I finally feel better from the stomach bug this weekend. Our youngest is back to her usual self, our teen is recovering from being sick yesterday, and Peanut is currently in the beginning stages of feeling horrible with a slight fever. I cleaned our main room a bit today and opened the shades to let… Continue reading Cleaning leads to spinning?
We interrupt your crafting…
Little miss 4 year old came down with a stomach bug early last week. When she gets sick it's not usually a long ordeal but this time it kicked her little butt. She is 6 days in and still feverish and fighting dehydration. Mainly because she's stubborn like her momma. I barely touched any of… Continue reading We interrupt your crafting…
Fleece, fiberfill and baby dolls
My mind likes to wander and then hyper fixate on the strangest things sometimes. This weekend while browsing Etsy I came across a baby doll pattern that I remembered I had bought several years ago. I printed the pattern pieces and ordered some fleece in several skin tones to pick up at my local shop.… Continue reading Fleece, fiberfill and baby dolls
Needles, Wool and Peanut pals
Very little knitting has happened here this week, so I skipped Wednesdays WIP update. While I was crafting, it wasn't something I could share just yet, but I can now. Introducing- Peanut Pals, OOAK needle felted dolls made by hand with 100% wool and love 💖. Waldorf inspired dolls made for kids and kids at… Continue reading Needles, Wool and Peanut pals
Three weeks of crafting – pt. 1
First off, yikes! I realized late last week that I hadn't posted a blog post in a while, and then the thought of trying to catch up with "all the crafting" that I had done in that time got to be overwhelming so I tried to ignore it. While I had big hopes of doing… Continue reading Three weeks of crafting – pt. 1
Cold weather means more wool
Friday night we had a slight dusting of snow. Enough that it covered the ground, more than a dusting but less than half an inch. Our youngest kiddos were so excited to go out and play yesterday morning. As soon as miss 4 year old came back in she said she'd never go play in… Continue reading Cold weather means more wool
Park knitting
I've always loved freaking out the muggles by knitting in public. I've even combed and carded wool at the park while the girls played. Today is no different, I'm knitting on a new project - a hat for my dad for Christmas. I'm using my handspun that came out to an Aran/light bulky weight and… Continue reading Park knitting
Wool and woes
I had full plans to blog this weekend. Knitting plans and spinning and that all went down the drain. Little Miss 4 year old got sick with middle sister's cold on Wednesday last week, then by Friday she was miserable. On Saturday she added a fever and tummy troubles to the mix. Once she started… Continue reading Wool and woes
Happy Thanksgiving
Today we had my dad over for Thanksgiving lunch. My mom had to work and I didn't want him to be stuck at home alone. Since our two youngest are still dairy-free and one is soy-free as well, I made everything from scratch. We had turkey, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, and… Continue reading Happy Thanksgiving
