About Me

LaughLoveKnit– online
Megan– out in the world
Mom– at home

Regardless, it’s still me navigating life without losing too much sanity!

Here in my own small corner of the internet, I am LaughLoveKnit. But everywhere else I’m Megan, learning to embrace the quirky, Autistic, and, sometimes chaotic bits that make me who I am. My husband and I live in the midwest with our 3 kiddos, 4 cats, and lots of wool.  I’ve been crafting for as long as I can remember.  My nanna taught me to crochet when I was 5, just basic chain stitch, so I’d be quiet long enough for her to watch Zorro.  I picked up off and off for several years, finally I made a few blankets and small projects my senior year of high school.  When I was pregnant with our oldest I made her a hat, bootie, and blanket set while on bedrest in my last trimester.  Several blankets, dolls, bags, and dresses later I taught myself to knit in 2007 only to make socks. That quickly changed as knitting became my obsession.

Fast forward over a decade later, I still knit but rarely crochet. I also recently got back into spinning after a several-year hiatus.  And with that came processing fleeces I’ve purchased. I love to see the change from raw fleece to spun yarn all the way through scouring, picking, combing/carding, and then spinning.

When I’m not working with fiber in some way, I’m homeschooling my 3 kiddos. Not to mention driving them to work and seemingly endless appointments. We try to embrace our neurodiversity, and let our hyper-focus work for us instead of against us. I also love to spend time in my garden, growing my own cotton to spin as well as food for my family.  Two of our kiddos are dairy-free so we cook a majority of our food from scratch.

Man may work from sun to sun, But woman’s work is never done.

Laugh as much as you breathe and LOVE as long as you live.

Until next time, laugh often, love deeply and knit the day away!
