TdF day 1

My plan for TdF is to spin every day in July, covering both the men’s and women’s dates. Other than that, I don’t have any concrete plans. I’d love to finish my sw merino blend and ply that during July. Then depending on when my drum carder comes in, card some of the wool I have cleaned.

Quick thoughts on yesterday’s Jacob sampling – I much prefer the feel and look of the combed fiber. Which isn’t really a surprise because I’m a solid worsted spinner. I expect some of the Jacob wool will be spun during TdF.

My goal/plan for blogging during tour is to take a starting picture every morning to share here. The following morning’s picture serving as the end of day from the following day as well. I’ll share any info on the fiber I’m spinning as well.

I’ve spun one braid out of three of my sw merino blend, 60/30/10 of super wash merino, bamboo, nylon. I split the first braid in half length wise. I’ll probably keep that same method going for the other two braids and hope that most of the colors line up.

Until next time, laugh often, love deeply and knit the day away!
